FAQ's
1. What is dog boarding?
Dog boarding is a service where your dog stays at our family home while you're away. At Woof & Wander, we provide a safe, caring, and playful environment where your pup is treated like one of our own. We are fully licensed with the local council to board a maximum of 5 dogs, our home boarding number is 060967.
2. What should I bring when boarding my dog?
We recommend bringing:
Your dog’s food (to avoid tummy issues)
Any medications with instructions
A favorite toy or blanket for comfort
A bed
We can provide additionl cozy bedding, blankets, bowls, and plenty of love!
3. What dogs do you accept?
We welcome all friendly breeds that are neutered/spayed. We do a temperament screening at the meet and greet to ensure all guests play well together and feel safe.
4. Are vaccinations required?
Yes. For everyone’s safety, we require proof of up-to-date vaccinations.
5. How are dogs supervised?
We provide continuous care and supervision to ensure the safety and comfort of all dogs in our care. Dogs benefit from regular playtime, rest periods, and ample human interaction throughout the day. While there may be occasions when dogs are left unattended for brief intervals, all such instances strictly adhere to the requirements and standards mandated by the council licensing authority. During these times, we monitor the dogs remotely via camera to ensure their well-being.
6. What if my dog has special needs or takes medication?
We’re happy to accommodate special needs, including administering medication. Just let us know in advance, and we’ll create a personalised care plan, you may need to sign an additional medication form.
7. Do the dogs get to play with others?
Yes! Social dogs enjoy supervised group play in a safe and positive environment. We provide a variety of toys, enrichment games, and even water play during hot weather to keep your dog engaged, active, and happy.
8. Where do the dogs sleep?
All dogs sleep downstairs in the family home, where they can settle comfortably for the night. Many enjoy curling up on the sofa, while others prefer their own space — we’re happy to section off areas during the night for dogs who prefer to sleep alone. To help your dog feel more at ease, we encourage you to bring their own bed or blanket, so they have something familiar with them during their stay.
9. How do I book a stay?
First, please send us a message to check availability. If we have space for your selected dates, we’ll arrange a free meet and greet. If your dog is a good fit, we’ll guide you through completing the relevant online forms.
You can reach out via our website, social media, or phone. We recommend booking well in advance, especially during holidays and peak travel times, as spaces are limited.
